6 Months

Our kids are 6 months old. I can't believe it!
(They actually interact now...sort of. Adam definitely smiles and talks to her, and they suck on each other's hands without even knowing the difference.)

Adam:
  • is sort of a Mama's boy...I love it!
  • Rolls Over (sometimes)
  • Smiles a lot
  • Is starting to laugh
  • Still loves music (esp. his butterfly toy)
  • Loves Books
  • Loves Car Rides

Rachel:

  • is an Angel!
  • She goes to sleep on her own all day!
  • Always wakes up happy
  • Sucks her thumb...a lot
  • Loves to talk with you
  • Kicks her legs in excitement big time
  • Is definitely a Daddy's girl
(She stuck her thumb in and fell asleep right in the middle of taking pictures.)

I am definitely at that point where I go to bed at night extremely grateful. I can think of very few complaints about life right now. We have truly been blessed.

and it just keeps getting better. I'm glad you've reached that 6 month hump with twins.

I love looking at your miracles Amy, they are so lucky to have you.

They are cute and it sounds like life is getting a little bit easier, perhaps you are getting some "good" sleep at night!

Oh my goodness! They are too cute in their little Christmas outfits! I bet they've grown so much since I saw them. Have fun with their first Christmas!

They're looking so much bigger since we saw them! They look adorable in all that red--red is a good color for them, just like their mom!

Love their Christmas outfits!
How do you feel about the thumb sucking? Some people hate it. James is a HUGE thumb sucker... sometimes it's really convinient... and cute. I don't mind it... although I might if he's still doing it in a few years.

Ahhhhhh. Ohhhhhh. So darling! I love their Christmas outfits. I keep looking at them in stores and have not found any cute enough to buy. I am so glad you found them instead. I love how they are matching - the fun of being twins. Can't wait to see them!

I can't believe it either! Wasn't it yesterday I was holding Rachel in the hospital?

I can't wait to see you all again sometime (soon, I hope).

Love to all.

Oh Amy, they are so, so cute! I love that they suck each others hands sometimes (I bet my Eden would just love to have yet another hand to chew on) and I love the picture of Rachel sucking her thumb. They are darling!

Cute! Just got your Christmas Letter, but was sort of sad not to hear about the fortune teller or the bus truck. It was fun to read all the rest though!

Royce,

If I'd included those 2 stories you and Heather would've beaten Rachel in letter appearances. At least that's what I'm going to tell myself. The reality is I just forgot. Dang. That'll be hanging over my head for another 11 months...

Ryan,

It's ok. I really didn't want to beat the kids in the index. I was just really looking forward to hearing about that fortune telling experience. I was waiting 10 months to hear your funny perspective on that and how accurate things came to pass. Also I thought the bus truck would have been pretty great, but don't blame you for not including it. Please don't regret for 11 months unless you plan on including them next year. Then I'll look forward another 11 months.

Jeanine and Lauren,
yes, I hesitated about the thumb sucking. I never intended to let my kids do it...but Rachel was being ignored so much she had to do something to survive! And I gotta tell you it's heaven for me too to know that I don't have to do anything to help her (because Adam won't have it)...so I'll just be grateful that my bro is a dentist...
