Three Months

Feb 18--

Our photo shoot did not go very well...but that doesn't mean it's all bad around here.

We have been getting more sleep! On a good night, they will be down from 10-6 with just a little bit of binki replacement in between. However, don't let that fool you that we are getting enough sleep around here
Erica still cries just about all her waking hours, but she is happiest right after a bottle and she will lay on the floor and kick her right leg. It's very cute. It's also the best chance to get a smile out of her, but you'd be pretty lucky still.
On the other hand, Brooke is a huge grinner and will stop whatever she's doing to give you a big one. She has been a little more fussy this week due to a slight cold, but she will cough up a lung, and then just smile about it.
If I had blogged on Monday I would have been a lot more positive, but I admit that the constant work and the need to balance everything is getting to me. But-this is a rare moment with both babies napping and the big kids at preschool. So I'm going to go nap, eat lunch, shower, do laundry and use both my hands!

Adam and the Spoken Word

The other night during a hurried scripture (aka BofM video app) before bed, Adam started asking his typical run on questions. When he started asking about Jesus and why he had nail marks in his hands, I started to cringe and think, "how am I going to appease him?" And then, he just understood. And I was humbled.

"Why did he get nailed?"

"That's just what the bad guys did."

"Because they didn't know Him?"

That's right, bud. Because they didn't know him.

2 Nephi 25:26 "And we atalk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we bprophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our cchildren may know to what source they may look for a dremission of their sins."

I'm glad they know.

Valentine's Day

I wish I had pictures of the kids making their Valentine's. It took Rach E more than an hour to carefully write her name in the white box provided. And it took Adam all of about 10 minutes to scribble his name onto his. And I don't have any pictures of the great prizes we got from grandparents, but that was fun-thanks guys! And my phone is not taking pictures right now, so I couldn't record the best Valentine's Date ever--last night just Adam and I went out. He kept saying, "It's just you and me!" I honestly can't remember the last time that it was just him and me. We didn't have a plan. But we went to Tropical Smoothie (sweet guy ordered an apple), Michael's (he liked picking out a craft but then repeatedly asked me, "When can we go home?") and then a last minute decision to mini golf (we had a free game, but it was crowded and took forever!)  Ry and I got to go out too--but he didn't get off work until late and I am not much fun after 8pm--sorry it was lame :)  Hope you had a great V-day!
Everyone was happy before this--oh well

last minute V day lunch idea

Extra help=a nice V day present for me!
I didn't really plan much for V day because these guys were so excited for their party at preschool!--This is about when my camera gave out, but you get the idea...

Memory Lane, Ep 3

Groundhog Day; 2004

Remember how we've never been so cold and we could never get close to the fire and how when Bill announces 6 more weeks of winter everyone boos and they really mean it!

That was fun, but I much prefer watching the movie at home with our teams :)

Memory Lane: Ep 2

Goblin Valley; 2003

Happy Birthday, Wes! (2/15)

Remember how we endured the worst thunderstorm ever and you were just mad we woke up and it was hot again?! This is one of my favorite pictures ever. I love these boys. After this little hiking adventure, they proceeded to save our car by replacing the oil--that hadn't been changed EVER! Their "fix" got us home, but  the car died after that.

Wes, we just miss you and love you!

Be on Binki high alert...

One down, one to go...
Thanks for your help bud!

V Day

For preschool, the kid's had to make Valentine boxes of some kind. Thanks to Royce and Heather, and Home Depot, we actually got them done...let's hope they hold up till Thursday...

"Ryan's" Birthday

Ryan had a birthday! He did not care or acknowledge this. In fact, he scheduled himself to work all day. But, there were a couple of four year olds that I simply couldn't disappoint, so we threw him a little party. You can tell we love our daddy around here!

See if you can spot a girl monster,Minnie Mouse, the Big and Little Dippers, Mommy, and a slide

Good-bye to Lied

If you have lived in Vegas, you probably have been to Lied Discovery Museum. But you probably don't know that they closed this weekend. They are opening a new and probably more awesome museum, but we have fond memories of this one and so we went to say good-bye and play one last time. Thanks to Gma's season pass, we have been several times over the years. I stopped needing to show ID because they all recognized us. This last time one of the ladies said about the kids, "They are getting so big, I can't stand it." I feel the same way...

Rachel saw Harry Reid pop up in his suit and commented, "Mom, do you want to watch conference?" I cracked up...

Ryan thinks he donated pennies to this...I guess we won't get them back :)
