Staycation

We were happy to hear that Royce and Heather wanted to come down and visit. We were also so happy that the Cranes live here now so we had a fun day with all our families on Saturday...

1. The Pinball Hall of Fame

Rachel's drawing afterward: "The place where we played all the games"
2. The Caves-

3-Pizza, BYU Football, and Adult Conversation (my favorite part)--
I have no idea why my phone makes these moving photos, but I think it's fun to catch a glimpse of what was really going on in the photo :)

Royce at the kids' table. I love it!

10 Months

September 18, 2013
Oh, I don't even want to write this post. Because it means my girls really are 10 months. And that means they really will be one soon. And I don't know if my empty uterus done with having kids self can handle that! But...we are having a lot of fun around here.
At their well check a few weeks ago we weighed in at 16lbs for Miss E and 17.6 for Wookie.
That still is so small, yet we cleaned out clothes, and they are wearing mostly 9 or 12 month sizes now. Yikes.
Brooke loves to eat. She slurps up her yogurt pouches, tries bites of whatever you give her and is loving the cheerio phase we graduated to. She stands and moves any chance she gets and she has climbed up stairs to the top (and fallen down them again). She is working on 2 teeth on the bottom and even though I'm glad, I am thrilled we still have her toothless grin.

Erica is still such a funny tiny thing. She is right with her sister on standing and crawling, but she is ahead of her on teeth...2 on bottom and almost 2 on top. However, she doesn't care about food. She will drink her bottle if you make her and if you leave her alone about it. She will eat a jar of whatever goop you want, but if you try to give her a chunk of anything--forget it! Out goes the tongue and we collect a pile of puffs or banana on her chin. But...she puts everything else in her mouth! Paperclips, stickers, paper, toys, magnets, etc. etc. This is why the babies mostly live in the "cage". (a play pen gate thing).  And she has learned to clap which is my new very favorite thing ever. And she dances to music...her toys, my whistling and even the piano at church.

Rachel's Special Day

So Rachel's special day has been hard to celebrate. We have been in Utah the last couple of years for Gpa's Bday. So we just told her it was yesterday. I don't have any pictures of it, so hopefully you can enjoy these "selfies" she took. She has become obsessed with taking pictures on my phone :)

Friday we picked her up from school and because of the rainstorm, we built a fort and watched a movie inside. Then since Ryan was out of town we had a "sleepover" together in my bed. She was so excited to sleep by me and I can't tell you how it warmed my heart to fall asleep with her little arm on top of me. She has been saying some really crazy things lately and it has been cracking me up!

"Is Santa Claus real?"

"Do you think he's real?"

"I think so, but I'm not sure. I go to sleep and get all confused about it."

That's my girl.

The Aftermath

Well, they've been in school for two weeks. And I'm exhausted. But it's not because of school. It's of what happens when they get home!  Like this unfortunate incident--a premovie night fight wherein Adam threw a bottle of Gatorade at Rachel's face. This is her 4th facial injury-and all four of them have been Adam's fault. Sigh. I can't complain--no stitches for any of them and a church friend took care of this one instead of Urgent Care.

We've had some fun though...

And we started soccer...Coach Dorritty is our favorite :)

I managed to take all four kids by myself up to Utah for my gpa's 90th birthday. People have been wondering how I managed. Well, I didn't take any pictures if that's a hint. I actually did fine and had a lot of help (DVD's and sleeping babies) but I did have quite a bit of a breakdown and am only now feeling recovered five days later. I am human people :)
