Update on the New Team

I know that I haven't been great at documenting this pregnancy...but let's be honest--it's numbers 3 and 4...they should get used to being neglected right?

FAQ's:
  • How do I feel?
    • I feel tired of trying to figure out how I feel! I appreciate those who exaggerate (LIE) and tell me how good I look, but I just want to say--really? You don't see that gigantic basketball protruding out of me? Or my face that looks like I've  had an allergic reaction to something?
  • Do we have names?
    • NO!
  • What's the gender?
    • Still 100% 2 girls
  • How many weeks are you?
    • As of today, I am 32 weeks and 3 days. And yes, those 3 days matter. I am 3 weeks past the time that I had Adam and Rachel...and yes, we are very grateful for that.
  • When are you due??
    • I don't know!  Anywhere between 3-38 weeks which puts me right around Thanksgiving. But if I actually make it to 38 weeks it would be a complete miracle. And the chances of going before 36 are high. So I'm just taking it one day at a time. My next hurdle is to make it past all Halloween festivities. After that, I just want to make sure I have my life in order
  • Will I have a C-section--yes! My goal is to have it scheduled so I can make arrangements for my kids and do my hair and saunter into the hospital and pretend I am having a spa day instead of major surgery. Plan B...I go into labor early and take a ride in an ambulance to the hospital and then have emergency surgery instead.
  • Will I have help?
    • Yes! That is the one thing I am not worried about. Between our parents, siblings, friends and ward we should have a lot of help. Would it still be good to have more? You bet!
  • How often do you go to the doctor?
    • Twice a week for non stress tests...and yes, that might seem a little obsessive, but we don't care
  • Will you be on bed rest?
    • I doubt it unless something dramatic happens. But I may lie about that and pretend just so I can get some more sleep!
  • Do you have all of your old baby stuff?
    • Yes and no. I do have the majority of it, but I borrowed some and have lost some along the way. The main stuff I need are: diapers, burp cloths, bottles, and twin equipment that will make life easier.
  • Are you planning to breast feed?
    • I don't know...next...
  • Are Adam and Rachel going to share a room again?
    • Not if I can help it, but maybe if it were legal to drug them every night. Actually, the best decision I ever made?  Getting them clocks and telling them they can't get out of bed until it says 8!
  • How much do the babies weigh?
    • I don't know--somewhere between 3 and 4 lbs...so not big enough yet!

So there you go--and here are my latest pictures--mostly for gma's sake!

Proof that babies can smile...even though this one is a little creepy :)

Preschool

I don't know who is happier to have preschool twice a week--me or the kids. I  love that I have time to myself, and they love getting away from me! And I like that someone else taught them how to write their names and cut with scissors. For some reason, those were skills that I did not have the patience for! We are also thrilled that we get to carpool and be in the same class as their good friend Eden. On the first day, the report I got was positive except for the one complaint of "The kitchen girls said no boys allowed!" And a certain stubborn girl has been accused of not doing her work, but a bribe and a talk with the teacher hopefully cleared that up. So here's to hoping they will have fun and learn some stuff and that I can take some naps! :)

Girls

Rachel is getting me very ready for a life with three girls...we have done hair, nails, and searched the world over for the right clip on earrings. She did my hair for me one day, but we will not be posting a picture of that!

The Fourth

We had a very fun, and very rainy Fourth of July. We always go see family in Mt. Charleston, but this time we got rained out and forced inside. No one seemed to mind though.
With a second? cousin...as you can see Adam will have no problem having more sisters

It was cold enough, that we were enticed to get some hot chocolate. Definitely have never done that in July before!
Then we headed to the grandparent's house to enjoy sparklers and fireworks. As much as we love them, we mostly went because they always have spectacular fireworks on their street.

As you can see, it was a very fun filled day--Rachel asked at about 10 if she could go to bed...I was happy to fulfill that request!
Despite all of the fun, our hearts and minds were definitely thinking of freedom and sacrifice and blessings, and this dear friend. We love Independence Day!

Trip

My mom and I have been planning this trip for years, and we finally pulled it off...we met in Utah and then drove another 400 miles to see our long time friends. Not just any friends. Members of our St. Louis family that we miss a lot a lot. This was the first time that Mama Larsen as I call her got to meet my kids. And Katrina and I are pregnant at the same time-again. Needless to say, it was quite the reunion, and I'll post other pictures if/when I get them. But these are the ones I have...

These girls matched by accident...even their shoes matched. I guess  we shop at the same stores :) And it made me pretty excited to have two girls...

Probably won't be able to get away with this much longer, but isn't that cute?

Katrina made these shirts for us. I love them!  If I had the energy, I would link to the last pregnant picture we took together. Very fun.

And these ladies started it all 30 years ago...they certainly deserve to be queens~

We stayed with my gpa in Salt Lake and had 3 days of swimming, family, hiking, playing, tennis, the park, rockets, and more...I was able to get in a lot of rest since Gpa Clyde was in full playing mode. I really appreciated that!

I survived a 10 day road trip (mostly by myself)! We got in a little trouble on the way home when they closed the 15 due to fires, but thanks to my husband and google, we got home okay albeit 3 hours after we were supposed to.
