It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

It's 2 am. I do not usually live to see this hour. That must mean that I have been cleaning, and shopping, and baking. I expect everyone to comment before I wake up tomorrow because the nap I'm going to take will give you ample time. And yes, the letter and picture of the tree are coming! (I know one of you would have given us a hard time again). Merry Christmas!

Can't wait to get the letter and picture. Hope you enjoyed your nap. I don't think I have seen the wee hours of the morning, on my own free will, since well, I first got married.

What?! How can that poll be closed? I didn't even notice it until today. I vote . . . VT supervisor, just because it doesn't have any votes, and because they should be giving you a more 'low-key' calling now, right?

Well, I can't quite believe I am up this late either. It is 2:12 and I am waiting for Justin to get here from Fort Sill where we can leave in the morning and go to Colorado Springs. I have been doing that fun thing called packing - last minute of course. But I had to spend the day making my cat feel special, as I am going to feel like a complete jerk for leaving her here for two weeks. Please note she does not have to leave her house even, she is being cat-sit by her aunt tracie. She not much makes her happy, I will get to hear about it until she has no voice when we get back.

So I have a confession, yes I did harass Ryan about the letter. It was a long birthday day, all at work, and I remember thinking - maybe when I get home after 9 pm and a long day of scanning documents into the computer, I will see that wonderful Fitzgibbons Christmas letter I have come to expect every year. I save them all - which you may find creepy, but I like them. :) So I get home, no one is here but me, and alas, no mail (well one rejection letter from a college I applied to). So I think, perhaps I should check up on this letter and see where it is in the process as we are about to leave for Colorado and I would not want to miss what has become the Santa of my Adulthood. So yes, I called Ryan...just in time to listen to him doing something very strange (I will not reveal it here as the recipients may be reading). He told me the status of the letter, and I found out that it would not be here in time before I left to go. So he nicely changed my address where I will be able to get it, possibly in time for Christmas in Colorado. I may even share it with the new family members just to show them what weird/fun/great friends that I have. I would like to point out though, I gave RYAN a hard time....see, I would never give AMY a hard time...I am not that brave. Another reason I was looking for the letter was where my favorite blog would be back up to full speed soon, which would make me one happy camper. The more there is to read, the less time I spend doing real work that will make me graduate. :) Remember that when you are spending your limited time entertaining us all.

Well alas, I need to get to bed where I can GO to Colorado Springs in the morning, after my husband like thing gets here in about 4 hours. Hope all is well, and have a great Holiday!

I love the Christmas letter. I just finished reading it and laughed the whole way through. (I would have read it yesterday but I have a bad habit of forgetting to get the mail!) Thanks for including me on the mailing list and hope that I can stay on it.

Hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Also love the tree!!
