Yes, We Went Again

If you have cute enough kids, we'd probably go with you too.
We did some other stuff this time.
There was a lot of water.

And some stars.

And a fun sleepover.

11 Months...

There is too much to say about what these guys are up to. Hopefully videos are good enough.

(can't protest about a dress getting in the way this time)

Mother's Day Presents

Ryan gave me:
  • sleeping in and washing bottles
  • changing one diaper

Rachel gave me:

  • 2 new top teeth! (sorry I never have pictures of your milestones)
  • not squealing too loudly during church

Adam gave me: (I recommend muting these videos. It really is quite embarrassing.)

My dad bet that Rachel would crawl first. She doesn't get first prize, but this proves it was almost a tie.

I have many many thoughts about my kids and my mother's day with them, but since I'm tired I will leave you with these two:

  1. Mother's Day needs to be on a Saturday
  2. I should've worn ear plugs so "sleeping in" wasn't just "staying in bed"

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Las Vegas doesn't have much culture...but it does have a minor league baseball team. I'm ashamed to tell you that they used to be the Stars. Now they are the 51's. Needless to say Adam wore his Cardinals outfit to show them what a real team is all about. Thanks Gpa! We had a really fun time.

Hat Trick

Not only was today Mother's Day-It is our 6th wedding anniversary, and this kid's birthday (our former favorite kid). Thoughts, pictures, and possibly videos to come...

In the meantime-we took the kids to the park and let them swing for the first time. They LOVED it!

PS. Gpa Clyde-you lost the bet. But not by much I'm sure.

Back to the Beginning

Saturday we spent the afternoon at Summerlin Hospital's annual NICU reunion. Not very interesting for the average reader, but for us it was great to see the friends, doctors, and nurses that were our family for 11 weeks and 1 day. It was the first time that we were truly happy to be in that building. And Ryan is happy to report that Adam is the chubbiest of his other preemie friends :)

On to a Better Place

Sam entered our lives in December of '02--before our little family was even established. He's alive and well, but we decided that being cooped up in our stinky small acquarium was not the life for our first pet. So we boxed him up and drove him to a nice little park full of other red ear slider turtles. We were sad at first to give him up, but after the many scratches inflicted and other unmentionable acts on the drive there, we were almost happy to see him race to the water and immediately dive in. Within seconds there were not 1, but 3 turtles that emerged out of the water we think to welcome him there. Good-bye Sam. We will miss you. But we won't miss cleaning up after you!
