I'm trying not to act too sentimental about the fact that these guys are growing up...big time. I have spent some time lately going through some old pictures and videos...never a good idea when you are hormonal.
After Rachel got herself all ready for the day, I looked at her and asked, "When did you get so big?"
She just looked at me with a teenage face and shrugged, "Oh, you know"
Yes, I was there, but I'm still in major denial that it really happened :) Good thing we're getting a second chance at a new team...(and yes, I know that there is a lot more growing to happen :)

Visitors
We love it when the "godparents" come into town...we had a fun, but hot day at the Gilcrease Orchard and Nature Sanctuary. My favorite part was when Royce got bit by the ostrich about 3 inches away from Rachel's hair...(I need that pic Heath :) Although our apple picking was lame, and we were way too tired to care about our pumpkins, it was a great way to keep the kids occupied...
and then the adults got to go to a magic show. This magician was on America's Got Talent...is it awful that I think my hubby could do way better and actually shares some of his same tricks? It was fun anyway though :)
The First of Many
We celebrated Halloween like most people...going to as many free events as possible--mostly involving pumpkins...the kids were so excited to paint their pumpkins. We had to fight for a table so I just grabbed whatever colors I could. I thought black would make for a great jack o lantern. I didn't think about how seriously Adam would take his painting job. There is a face and arms on his pumpkin...but only a trained Mother's Eye could find them :)

Life Lessons
This is what happens when you put daddy in charge of an art project...they loved it though. Everything is just better with a painted moustache.

And I have to record these conversations:
R: "I don't want to grow up"
M: "Why?"
R: "I'm scared of getting married."
M: "How come?"
R: "I don't like boys anymore."
and..
R while acting as Ariel: "Lightning McQueen, Will you marry me?"
A as McQueen: "No! I can't. I'm a car. Cars do not get married."

Update on the New Team
I know that I haven't been great at documenting this pregnancy...but let's be honest--it's numbers 3 and 4...they should get used to being neglected right?
FAQ's:
- How do I feel?
- I feel tired of trying to figure out how I feel! I appreciate those who exaggerate (LIE) and tell me how good I look, but I just want to say--really? You don't see that gigantic basketball protruding out of me? Or my face that looks like I've had an allergic reaction to something?
- Do we have names?
- NO!
- What's the gender?
- Still 100% 2 girls
- How many weeks are you?
- As of today, I am 32 weeks and 3 days. And yes, those 3 days matter. I am 3 weeks past the time that I had Adam and Rachel...and yes, we are very grateful for that.
- When are you due??
- I don't know! Anywhere between 3-38 weeks which puts me right around Thanksgiving. But if I actually make it to 38 weeks it would be a complete miracle. And the chances of going before 36 are high. So I'm just taking it one day at a time. My next hurdle is to make it past all Halloween festivities. After that, I just want to make sure I have my life in order
- Will I have a C-section--yes! My goal is to have it scheduled so I can make arrangements for my kids and do my hair and saunter into the hospital and pretend I am having a spa day instead of major surgery. Plan B...I go into labor early and take a ride in an ambulance to the hospital and then have emergency surgery instead.
- Will I have help?
- Yes! That is the one thing I am not worried about. Between our parents, siblings, friends and ward we should have a lot of help. Would it still be good to have more? You bet!
- How often do you go to the doctor?
- Twice a week for non stress tests...and yes, that might seem a little obsessive, but we don't care
- Will you be on bed rest?
- I doubt it unless something dramatic happens. But I may lie about that and pretend just so I can get some more sleep!
- Do you have all of your old baby stuff?
- Yes and no. I do have the majority of it, but I borrowed some and have lost some along the way. The main stuff I need are: diapers, burp cloths, bottles, and twin equipment that will make life easier.
- Are you planning to breast feed?
- I don't know...next...
- Are Adam and Rachel going to share a room again?
- Not if I can help it, but maybe if it were legal to drug them every night. Actually, the best decision I ever made? Getting them clocks and telling them they can't get out of bed until it says 8!
- How much do the babies weigh?
- I don't know--somewhere between 3 and 4 lbs...so not big enough yet!
So there you go--and here are my latest pictures--mostly for gma's sake!

Preschool
I don't know who is happier to have preschool twice a week--me or the kids. I love that I have time to myself, and they love getting away from me! And I like that someone else taught them how to write their names and cut with scissors. For some reason, those were skills that I did not have the patience for! We are also thrilled that we get to carpool and be in the same class as their good friend Eden. On the first day, the report I got was positive except for the one complaint of "The kitchen girls said no boys allowed!" And a certain stubborn girl has been accused of not doing her work, but a bribe and a talk with the teacher hopefully cleared that up. So here's to hoping they will have fun and learn some stuff and that I can take some naps! :)
