March of Dimes

The walk was a success! Thanks, Dorrity family, for coming with us. Thank you to all those people who donated...we really appreciate it. This will definitely be a new tradition in our home. I was humbled by the many families who were walking for babies who only lived hours or days. I have 2 healthy almost four year old kids and they are miracles. Thank you for your prayers for us. They worked!

Girls Just Want to Have Fun

In January? we got invited to go see Beauty and the Beast in 3D...just girls. It was so fun! I didn't tell Rachel where we were going until we got there. She promised she would wear her glasses the whole time (she didn't, but more than I expected). She still talks about it. She even remembers the previews. I know because when we saw the same preview on TV she said, "We saw that! At our girl party!" So although I have vowed to never see a 3D movie again (they just hurt my eyes), seeing her insist on sleeping in her costume made it totally worth it.

Just Keep Swimming

There was a 2 for 1 special at Ryan's old swim school, so we took them up on it. I mostly wanted to see how much they had regressed since last summer to see if it was worth paying for more lessons. Luckily, they both loved it and did everything they were supposed to (mostly). My goal for this summer is to get both of them to swim independently with a noodle or something instead of clinging to me!

100 Stickers

We have a new reward system going on around here. When they earn 100 stickers, they get a reward. Our first prize was going to the mini grand prix. It was hilarious to see them try to ride these cars. I guess being tall enough is not enough yet :)

Easter Sunday

Rach E was so excited to wear her "purple dress and white shoes." She has become quite a girl lately...I love it.

Adam didn't get anything new to wear...but he wanted a picture anyway
We love our neighborhood. There is a family that throws a great Easter Egg Hunt Party. They feed everyone a huge breakfast while the "Easter Bunny" hides the eggs. Then the little kids get to go first and the big kids follow. You have never seen so many eggs before in your life. It took over an hour to hide them and there were still some leftover. The eggs contain toys, candy and even money. All this with no cost to any of us. Happy Easter!

The YMCA ladies painted her nails...she was so proud and showed everyone for days!

Despite all this fun, we were sure to talk about the real meaning of Easter. We are so grateful for the knowledge that Christ lives!

Easter Tuesday

We had a couple of pre-Easter celebrations. First, an easter egg hunt with church people. I didn't know the Easter Bunny was going to make an appearance, but we were all glad he did. They were each allowed to get 10 eggs and Adam came back with exactly ten.

After that, we raced over to our friend's annual "egg roll" party. You roll/throw hard boiled eggs down the hill and enjoy them for lunch. (or not and just have fun throwing them)

I think this is a much more satisfying way to use up all those colored eggs. I'm so glad the kids enjoyed the festivities this year!
