Their Big Day

It was your typical Mormon wedding. There was a temple. Bountiful, in this case. There was a sealing room full of white socked friends and family. There was your long winded quirky sealer. There was the awkward smiles and nervous laughter from the newly wedded bride and groom. There was the post sealing pictures and discussion of how to kill time before the next event. There was flowers, food, cake, dancing, fancy dresses, twirling little girls, guest books, speeches, hugs, and behind the scenes stress.
BUT, this was not your typical wedding. Because this is not your typical couple. There is a reason that we would have come to this wedding-anytime, anywhere. Because when you have all the friends that have influenced your life for the better all in one room-you go.
I can't explain the spirit that was present in the room when friends and family spoke accolades to Mark and Michelle that night. But those words confirmed what I already knew-that this wasn't just a wedding. It was a cosmic event that has changed life as we know it. That's just the kind of people they are. And we are so HAPPY for them!

For more thoughts and better pics of the event-go here and here.

What a perfect summation, Amy. I think I'll copy it for my journal =)

And Jeanine - you are the best! Mom mom did some last minute trimming that salvaged it a little! Oh, the drama of life!! =)
